Meaning it seemed at times that the actors were saying lins of dilog from a script. Som of their lines were just trying to hard to be clever. Both GA and DD did a good job tying to make it sound natural but it still came off a bit awkward.

I thought the "don't pick on the girl" line was ok but it was a bit contrived as if it was only there to give Scully a "moment". I can't hear Scully ever saying Ya ya-s either! There were a lot of moments where M&S just didn't seem quite like themselves. I think that's what happens when they bring in outside writers expecially ones who do a lot of their own style of writing and are so strongly set in a very specific genre which these two are with the cyber tech stuff. Instead of writing for Mulder and Scully it was like they were trying to make Mulder and Scully fit in with *their* world.
