Subject: Some positives about X-Cops

I thought it dragged on a little (actually found myself looking at the clock, which is rare during TXFs) but I was also ROTFL at some points. That prostitute scene was hilarious, for example. I loved the way Scully was yelling, "Don't run!" as the hooker was tottling along at about 2 feet an hour on her spiked high heels. I think a sleeping slug could have caught up with her. And Scully's little Spanish lesson for Mulder--teaching him how to say "boyfriend". But he already knows! Hmmm... ;-) (< SFP admitting to over-analyzation.)

I thought GA was especially good in this ep. Her strong suit is in the details and that talent was really highlighted here. LOL at her hiding behind the car in the beginning and her "Because the FBI has nothing to hide" comment during the autopsy. And I'm glad to see the disaster 'do is finally growing out.

On the negative acting front, that blond Deputy must have been fresh out of acting school, if that. Maybe I just didn't appreciate his realism since I don't watch "Cops" but his line delivery was a real toe-curler. And he had way too much of a SoCal surfer look compared to the starkness of everything else. Far be it for me to know what I'm talking about, but bad casting call!

:-) SFP
