Still sobbing, your father and the policeman come out. Father kneels down, trying to hold back tears, and looks you in the eye. "Corey," he says, heartbroken, "...your mother...she's..." His voice cracks, and he looks away. When he looks back, his eyes are tear-free, but reddened. "Your mother...she's dead. She killed herself..." He breaks off sobbing again.
