Subject: That still says jealousy to me
In reply to: detoured 's message, "I had another idea on the jealousy or protectiveness thing..." on 01:43:26 08/10/00 Thu

I don't tell my loved ones about everyone who I e-mail. Do you? I think some correspondence via computer is nice because it *is* so one-to-one. Lets face it, people are always e-mailing Mulder (by the hundred probably) because he is well known as someone who will listen to a case of strange phenomena etc. I think it would have been odd for Mulder to mention this particular woman to Scully, out of many contacts. I stick with my feeling that Scully showed more jealousy here than I've ever seen. And it seemed petty and unreasonable to me. If she flipped out for the reason you are suggesting, it suggests she thinks Mulder should tell her everything and I don't think that's a very healthy way to be. It's even more petty, when Scully can surely see that Karen holds no potential threat. Mulder was mystified at Scully's very suggestion about Karen liking him.
