Background

Homestay is where overseas students get to stay with families, in their homes, and experience the richness of other cultures and customs different from their own countries. At the Host Family's home overseas students will be regarded as a member of the family.

One of the reasons that overseas students choose to stay in homestay is that they can feel like living in a home with a family despite of living in an apartment by themselves. Besides, it’s more comfortable for them since the food is provided and they can have a furnished room. This gives them great convenience that they don’t have to bother with the accommodation. It can be a long-term or short-term accommodation, which depends on the students’ decisions.

Since homestay is the most popular choice of overseas students, so we would like to know about the opinions of them towards different homestays. In our report, we would concentrate on the following aspects: food, living environment, location, how the host families treat the overseas students and the relationship among other overseas students in a family.
