I'm not sure what your post has to do with a teacher being certified. Teachers have to be certified to teach in the state of Tennessee. They have to have at least a bachelor's degree, pass the NTE and receive a teaching certificate from the State of TN. If they teach a subject out of their certification, it has to be requested as a waiver from the State Dept of Education, and that has to be because no one is available to teach that particular class at that particular time. I'm not aware of any particular certification to be athletic director - for a lot of years, Mr. Lloyd (the principal several years ago) was athletic director. The athletic director has to make sure refs are hired, TSSAA requirements are met, etc. I'm not a coach, so I'm not positive about this, but I don't think it has anything to do with certification, like your post implies. I looked for a string that this might apply to, but I didn't see it below.
