I had no idea that Luttrell had any sort of ordinance like that. Much like the Litter Ordinance I hope they fixed all the real problems before they brought that one up.

Years ago there was this goomer from up North wrangled his way onto the Maynardville Planning Commission. Did he have ideas to increase business in the city or get redlights (at that time we had none)? No.

But what he did have was a hatred of everything in our county. He decided that he would propose a new ordinance for a planning code. Businesses inside the city limits would have to do away with their signs.

His reason?

Because he kept running out of the road reading them.

That was the actual reason he gave for proposing it, you can find it in the minutes. I was on the Planning Commission with him when it happened.

Yep, I just love laws that simpletons write to tell others they must be more like themselves.

I would like to propose a law...

Ban teenaged girls driving through Ailor Gap talking on cell phones.
