How dumb is this response?

To get on here and just completly trash this person is wrong! How do we not know that this person isn't a 75 year old grandmother? Would you expect YOUR grandmother to fix her own vehicle or walk 5 miles if she were broke down?

Slick claims to be in the volunteer emergency services in Union County, yet he/she gets on here and tells someone who he/she doesn't even know, to "grow up and fix thier own problem". Slick, do you do present yourself with this type atitude when you respond to a call for help from someone in need? If this is the way you feel about people who is in need of help, maybe you should re-evaluate your status as a volunteer. Maybe you are in it just for the "woo-woo" of sirens and the feeling of importance it gives you.

Now, I think the people who are taking offense to this person's post are probably some of the ones that past the person up while she was broke down! Sounds to me like some of these people are getting on here and making excuses for the fact that they let down thier fellow human being who was in distress! Alot of folks get on here and talk about "judgement day" and "answering to God for thier short comings" and I agree with that. However, the bible also states that you will be before God stripped naked of all excuses! So it doesn't do any good to make excuses for driving by this person.

I guess the point of my response is this, quit coming on here and making excuses for the fact that you left this person stranded on the side of the road, because it still doesn't make it alright! It was wrong to do it and you will have to answer for it some day! Maybe not now, but sooner or later you will be in need of assitance.

To the original poster: if you ever find yourself stranded on the side of the road again, look me up! If you need help, give me a call!

Matt
