But actually I really don't understand why eveyone gets worked up over things like the cheerleaders and such. Its a big world with big things to worry about.

But I think it is indicative of our County.

I call it the Bobby Beeler factor.

For you non natives Bobby Beeler ran a store above Maynardville that made bologna sandwiches at lunch time. He was always crowded, but always took time to talk to everyone. And if you bought a sandwich and a drink he'd often throw in a bag of chips.

I don't know the connection, but it seems to me our county has been getting more angry every since Bobby died. Gone are the benches in front of stores populated by old men with whittling sticks.

Manners are very important, in fact they may be the most important thing to teach your kids. I lose my temper from time to time, but I never forget that there are real problems in the world.

For some reason I think I'll have a bologna sandwich and an RC tonight and dedicate it to Bobby and how the county used to be.
