I lived with my mother and father for many years. They were the lead stallion and lead mare of the Full Moon herd. One day though, the rest of the herd decided to turn against them. There were over twenty horses in the herd - mares, stallions, and foals. My mother and father had no chance. They were killed and I was left with no family...for they were the only family that I ever had. But the horses did not kill me. They told me to leave...and to never come back. So that is what I did. I traveled around the land for many years...no other herd would accept me beacuse they knew of my past. They knew because the rest of the Full Moon herd told them.....

One day however, I came to a mighty land. It was far,far away from the other herds and territories. This land was filled with light and colour. Something that I had not seen since I was a foal. I neighed to see if there was anyone else around, but no answer came. Realizeing that this land was unclaimed, I reared into the air and shouted (even though no one could hear me) I claim this land!

Ever since then I have lived here....gained wisdom from what I learned as a foal and what I am still learning now. I decided to name the land Kianu, after my brave father, who fought to protect me.

I have decided to talk about our pasts beacuse I see that look in your eyes....a look that I shall never forget. For I too have had that look at one point in my life.

You are wise, bold, strong and brave....so which is another reason why I shall ask you this.*he pauses for a moment* It would be an honour if you would be my mate and help me rule this mightly land, for I cannot do it alone....ever since I saw you, I knew that you were the right one. *He gazes into her eyes for a moment but then turns his head and looks at the ocean...his eyes seem to be distant....waiting for an answer....*
