I too think that Scully figures it's Mulder and that smile of hers told me she was more than happy! As a scientist and doctor I am sure she has researched out her cancer and tried to have someone help her with the chip (which failed but at least they know it is a chip.) One of the episodes talked about forcing her to "super-ovulate and we know that her ova has shown up in at least 2 cases--1 fetus in a jar and Emily. But maybe the aliens or doctors or whoever did this to her knew that this could be reversed somehow which is why they did it in the first place. Maybe there is something about her we don't know--why she was chosen for the tests and also cured. Or again, maybe it was just a random abduction to try to sidetrack Mulder.

Watching the reruns on FX lately hasn't helped either but maybe a story or plot is being suggested by the order of episodes they are running. Last night's (Thursday) episode was with Krychek, Marita and the consortium dealing with the black oil she was infected with. The vaccine that Krychek had stolen was used and it did cure her. This ep. also was the one where Scully underwent regression hypnosis with Werber. She and M went to the airforce base where a captured rebel had been taken. While they were at the gate, there was another Bounty Hunter (driving a semitruck) who tried to kidnap the captured faceless alien. There was a spaceship--bright lights, etc. and somehow I think this Bounty Hunter may have been killed by another rebel who rescued the captured one. (These guys seem to have a hard time landing their craft here on earth--I can think of at least 3 alien ship crashes.)

How this fits into Requiem--I have to watch the reruns more BUT I think that maybe the rebel force hasn't become weaker--instead they may even have a captured bounty hunter which could make them stronger. There wasn't any green goo in the semitruck (that was shown anyhow) so one doesn't know if he was killed or abducted. Maybe they know that the vaccine is here--it would show up in Mulder's system if they looked for it.

Enough for now--Scully is safe and seems to feel confident that she will find Mulder. Even if she doesn't, she still has the baby at this point.
