After watching last night's "Within", I have to wonder if there is another human group which the aliens are working with. In one scene showing Mulder, I thought I saw a human standing in the background which I wouldn't expect to see if the aliens were responsible. Also, the scenes showing his tests are using pretty primitive tools compared to the lasers, etc. we saw the syndicate doctors using in the train cars. I am hoping that the visions Scully is having of his tests are just that--visions or dreams. They looked to be pretty gruesome!

As for the others--we know the syndicate conducted abductions using ufo technology ('Jose Chung's from Outer Space' is the episode I'm thinking of). Maybe this time, the bounty hunter is using the real thing?

I'd like to find out who the mole is who is sending information to Doggett. Somehow I get the feeling that Kersch is in cahoots somehow with this group or else he is putting on a good show to hide the fact he is the new informant??? He has made such an effort to be a total jerk that I am willing to give him a chance to be a "good guy" after all.
