I recognize that without Mulder there wouldn't even be a show. And I do like him. From the time I started watching I've always identified with how frustrated Scully must get working with Mulder. Regardless of how one feels about the nature of the relationship between M and S, it is obvious that Mulder has done and said things that must have made it tough for Scully to want to get up and go to work the next day. I've never really been able to get over that, even though it's diminished in the later seasons. Mulder has always struck me as irritatingly self centered. I just can't help it. Plus, to be honest, he's always seemed like something of a nancy boy to me. I don't like that. I like my men big and tough and not overly emotional.
