Somehow I hope (and think) that Doggett's character becomes far more developed--they really need to do some work with his persona. We know little about his background, what happened to his son's mother, and why he is so linear-sequential. There must be some sort of explanation. If the show is to continue to entice its fans (IMHO anyhow) I think they really need to put some time and thought into this character. He's no Mulder but he does have potential for becoming a good lead character.
