Subject: Evolution of the Bounty Hunter

Has the Alien Bounty Hunter, while not exactly what most people would consider "nice" actually become "nicer" the longer he's been on earth? In "The Unnatural", back in the 1940s, he seemed to kill anybody who got in his way, without thinking twice about it. But in the 1990s he could have easily killed Mulder and Scully several times over — and they've certainly been in his way — and he hasn't. Is he beginning to respect human life? Or does he simply have "orders" not to harm the X-Files agents?
