they should definitely wrap up the Samantha plot once and for all. Next Sunday this will probably happen. Unless they wait till the end on the season. Next week's ep is called Closure after all and I think the Sam plot has been exhausted and I'm finding it a bit stale when they keep coming back to it with all the goose chases and clones etc. If they get it out of the way next week then they have a clear run for the Alian/conspiracy wrap up in the finale.

As for the alien/conspiracy part, they could leave that slightly open because a future movie would go down well along an invasion plot. Not like Independence Day though. Something that has action and intrigue but not so obvious as to have aliens running around New York or dangling from the Liberty Bell[and yes I know where that is] or jumping out of caves in the Canadian Rockies. It would still make a good movie for non X philes to see. They wouldn't have to make it a truely XF mythology movie. It would be for us but it could still be a great movie for those who know nothing of the mythology. Hope that made sense. I am half asleep here. The dedicated X Phile that I am.

The stand alones would be better though. Everyone could enjoy these and we would enjoy them better through knowing the characters' history and what they have been through. I think the Mythology should become a knowledge base for Character development, left in the past and not be a part of the present and any future movie.
