I tend to agree with you, SMH. From everything I've read about MP his real personality is lighthearted and easygoing, so he was doing a tremendous acting job in portraying the gruff, no-nonsense Skinner.
But he's got a family to support (with Arlene looking so amazingly like GA, I think her professional activies would be pretty much limited to working as GA's stunt double) and I suppose he feels that roles for actors over the age of 50 are in somewhat short supply.
Isn't Frank Spotnize the producer (or director or something) of one of the new cop shows?? I'm surprised he didn't offer MP a role on his show.
