I think it's cool that Mitch left your friend a phone message!! How very nice of him. (And nice of Arlene, too, I guess. . .some women would object to their husbands calling other "wenches" on the phone and leaving them messages.)
I'm not too worried about MP; I'm sure he'll have a role in the next XF movie if nothing else. But I think the fact that producers haven't jumped at the chance to offer him the lead role in a new series ties in with the thread we had going on the OT board about all producers being young and male. . .apparently they either don't realize that MP is a *major* sex symbol to a lot of women over the age of 30 or they just aren't interested in appealing to that audience. MP seems to be a very talented actor as well, because everything I've ever read about his off-screen persona indicates he's 180 degrees different from the bluff, no-nonsense Skinner.
