Subject: Krycek v Scully
In reply to: detoured 's message, "Or Krycek and Scully!" on 01:57:17 11/27/99 Sat

Krycek and Scully would be a very dangerous, inflammatory confrontation. Look at their history - he and his bud Luis Cardinale killed her sister, whilst trying to kill her. Krycek has caused Mulder a lot of personal grief, too, killing M's father. OK we never actually saw him do it, but we are presuming it was him, I think. That must have upset Scully too. If there is anything in the gay Krycek line, or even the Ying-Yang kinship thing with Mulder that NL has talked about, then there is even more reason for Scully to resent him. Thinking about it, Scully and Krycek have *never* had a scene together, without Mulder, unless you count the one in Duane Barry when Mulder was held hostage and Scully turned up. There was a very small interaction. There: another another reason for Scully to dislike Krycek; he took her place as Mulder's partner when TXF were closed. Could be explosive stuff. Still, having said all that, I would prefer a Mulder-Krycek crisis.
In my mind, Krycek is a highly trained killer, whose conscience has been consumed by the demands made on him. I believe he was promised a part of whatever the syndicate were going to get but their betrayal ran deep. If you scratched the surface of Alex Krycek, I bet he is riddled with insecurities and hides them under that veneer of ruthlessness. I want to see what makes him cry....
