Subject: X-Files 2 news

I've read that Gillian Anderson was on a talk show in Britain and said XF2 would begin production by the end of this year. She said besides Duchovny, the film will also feature Robert Patrick, Annabeth Gish & Mitch Pileggi. The story may be a prequel instead of continuing from the finale. The blurb I read said it takes place before the series but that would be impossible since none of these people would have met before the pilot unless they want to change the continuity. Perhaps they mean during S8 or 9. Guess they wrote themselves into a corner with the finale and can't think about where to go from there.
