Even though Memento Mori is one of my favorite episodes, I've probably watched it fewer times than most other episodes because it is so sad.

I know that Scully appreciated Mulder going off to find a cure, but she had to be so lonely! Scully is so strong in the these days. To the point of being quite stubborn, especially in later episodes.

So in Never Again we have Scully telling Mulder that not everything is about him, and in Memento Mori we have Mulder realizing it. Excellent.
