Subject: Morning, if it could be called morning, found the mother and son sleeping peacefully, the small colt by her hooves. Dancey opens her dark eyes to gaze down at her son and one lone tear of happiness slips down to land on the colt's face. Waking instantly, he looks up at her, whickers softly, and scrambles to his feet. Still unsteady but learning fast, he let his mother nuzzle him while he suckles earnestly. Hunger was soon quenched, and now he looks around curiously.
