P A G E A N T   F A N A T I C



I was able to watch the delayed telecast of Miss Europe 2001 at TV5 Asie, an international french channel. The pageant was held in Beruit, Lebanon where European girls competed against each other to win the prestigous title. The show itself was really long and boring. Thanks God that there were no commercial breaks.
The show lacked voice overs and it had a poor selection of hosts.(one of them is Diana Hayden can't remeber the other girl and the french man). But in spite of that, the stage was great and the presentation was somehow good. I was amazed wit the dance step of the swimsuit parade. The intermission numbers are quite boring because most of them are cultural dances. I was shocked that there were lots of judges and the way the hosts introduced them was very boring.


The ladies were introduced through a video, each of them stating their name and country and saying something about themselves. The candidates had a parade of swimsuit also by batch. The video shots were not good. Like I said a while ago, the show lacked voice overs so it lacked excitement and fun. But all of the girls were strunning as in I can't choose who is the most beautiful because almost all of them has the height and that great figure.


After that the ladies showed their evening gowns and this was the part where in I was able to identify who are the real contenders for the crown. I really liked the gown of Miss Spain, Ukraine and most especially Miss France.(she was very elegant) The gown of Miss Croatia was unique but I really hate it especially that collar with necktie.


Then the top 15 was announced. They were Miss Slovak Republic, Miss Croatia, Miss Turkey, Miss France, Miss Russia, Miss Iceland, Miss Poland, Miss Spain, Miss Ukraine, Miss Belarus, Miss Moldova, Miss Greece, Miss Armenia, Miss Romania and Miss Finland.


Then the semifinalists presented their swimsuit again (by the way the swimsuit was one piece only) and modelled some gowns and jewelries. Then the top 5 was announced. They were Miss Croatia, Miss France, Miss Turkey, Miss Poland and Miss Spain. From the start I love Miss France (she was more elegant and stunning compared to how she competed in the Miss Universe 2001) so I was predicting that she will get the title here.


Then the final question and answer was conducted. Although the question was in french, I think the question is about the importance of the pageant or why the candidate joined the pageant. MIss France I think has the strong answer because she was very articulate. The interpreters I think was really a bad choice!


Then there were some special awards given. The Miss Friendship was given to Miss Cyprus and the Miss Photogenic was won by Miss Russia (but I think there are other girls more beautiful than her). Then the announcement of winners was made. 4th Runner Up - Miss Spain, 3rd Runner Up - Miss Turkey, 2nd Runner Up - Miss Croatia, 1st Runner Up - Miss Poland, Miss Europe 2001 - Miss France.


The crown given was great. But I was dissappointed that Miss Spain won the 5th place but I believe the Miss France truly deserves to win the title.

Sir I don't blame you if you don't know the other woman. She is a Fake & made up LEBANESE FORMER MISS LEBANON WINNER!!(CLEARLY). Miss Lebanon 1997, her name is Joelle Behlock. The Lebanese paid the Miss World judges and did a lot of behind the scenes politics and negotiations USUAL BRIBES so that she could be 6th runner up. They tried too hard to make her stand out by putting her in extravagent dresses, great hair dos, and all the make up in the World to create a look that her NATURALLY UNATTRACTIVE LEBANESE FACE looks like. SHE IS like a masculine, big Lebanese woman with a well maintained body. After having read all comments and point of views, i think that each looser in elections will try hard to cover his or her ass. They do it by blaming & SWEARING the elected person and its country. Dear All, be carefull of what you are saying and take care of your mothers and daughters. Maybe one day, the bad words and swearings used target you all.

I would like to visit other nations. I know a lot of Lebanese, and they really love to hate Indians. I personally have experienced much of this with the ugliest racist comments from Lebanese teachers, neighbors, even customers. ANd majority of people who meet me or know me say that I am really nice. I was voted for Homecoming, and people always telling me I am so beautiful and so on, and so forth. I am not a light Indian, but rather tan, and I don't care about Joelle Behlock or any Miss Lebanon.
