They did this on "Castle" again last night!

This time Castle and Beckett were in Los Angeles staying at a swanky hotel. She wanted to attract the bad guy's attention, so she put on a bathing suit and climbed out of the pool dripping wet and OF COURSE she was the most attractive woman there (because, ya know, the "typical" women lounging around a hotel swimming pool in Beverly Hills just aren't particularly pretty)and the bad guy's attention was immediately focused soley on her.

Sigh.

And, yes, BDM I do know what you mean about undercover male cops suddenly displaying the kind of skill in poker/golf/pool/tennis/whatever that makes you wonder why they aren't doing that professionally instead of pursing a relatively low-paying career as a police office. The only time I ever saw a show do something like this that kinda/sorta made sense was when the "sport" in question was skeet shooting! It's actually believable that a law enforcement officer would be very proficient with fireams. (I think that was on "Numb3rs" a few years back, but I could be wrong.)
