Subject: SMH's Official New Shows Post -- UPDATE!

Ringer
I'm enjoying this show a lot more than I thought I would. I was really giving it a chance on a whim. It has a lot of good plot turns and much more mystery than I was expecting. Thumbs up!

The Playboy Club
As we know, this was the first show canceled this season. I made it through one episode but was bored out of my mind, I'm not sure how many aired before it was axed, but good riddance.

Person of Interest
This isn't a BAD show, but I'm just having trouble getting into it as it has become so formulaic. I thought they might develop some ongoing story lines, but the only one so far is the lady detective who is trying to track down John. I'm still watching it, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll stick with it. I AM grateful to this show for revealing to me how handsome Jim Caviezel is.

Prime Suspect
I WANT to like this show a lot, but really I just kind of like it some. I really like Maria Bello's character and I'm not giving up on the show yet, but it hasn't grabbed me the way I hoped. I think the prematurely canceled Detroit 1-8-7 from last season was a lot better, and sometimes when I watch Prime Suspect I wish I was watching that instead.

Terra Nova
It took me awhile to get into this. I have trouble with two-hour premieres because the time commitment is the same as sitting down to watch a movie. So for a show I don't even know, that's asking a lot. But I finally caught up and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's not a game changer, but the special effects are fun (although some are a bit cheesy) and the plot is fun.

Grimm
I was wary of two fairy tale shows in one season, but they've managed to be very different and also good. I like Grimm because it takes a twist on a procedural show by introducing supernatural elements into it. Of the two, I like Once Upon a Time better.

Once Upon a Time
This might be my favorite new show. It's totally unlike anything I've seen and I enjoy the switching from the fantasy world to the real world. Really looking forward to where it's going.
