What I've long heard is the reason older folks aren't targeted is because they are more set in their ways (for lack of a better term) and already have established buying habits. They know what products they like now and won't change. I guess it can be taken as a compliment to say older people aren't as easily influenced by everything they see.

Usually my reactions to commercials are in the negative. If a commercial offends me I won't buy the product. Awhile back I had to find a new lundrey detergent because mine was discontinued. I ruled out "All" because I didn't like one of their ads.

I heard about George too. All is well at CSI now I guess!
