was one from season two called "Doppleganger" in which the NCIS gang meets another group of law enforcement officials (I think they're Baltimore PD, but I could be wrong about that) who have a "twin" to everybody at NCIS. . .a coffee-swilling boss, an Italian-American man who jokes around and thinks he's a stud, a computer-geek "Probie", a a talkative medical examiner and a calm, serious woman.
Another interesting thing about NCIS: unlike the real FBI which generally takes a dim view of TV shows featuring fictional FBI agents (i.e. XF, Numb3rs, Without a Trace, etc.) a lot of real NCIS agents have gone on record saying they LOVE the TV show. Mostly they say that since the show is so popular people no longer say "Who?" or "What?" when they identify themselves as NCIS agents.
My favorite NCIS ep ever. . .
