I remember the show from the one season it was on and later rented the set and saw the whole season. For the time it was pretty good. Seems to copy the style of the 1989 Batman film in that we seem to be in the modern day & the 1940s at the same time.

The hero's kinda bland but I loved the English lady scientist. The show follows the comic book somewhat, at the time Barry Allen had died and his nephew had taken up being the Flash (but of course now Barry has come back to life & become the Flash again). Barry's father didn't die in the comics, they are trying to make Barry like Batman with a sort of revenge on crime motive.

The bit about being super hungry after using his speed came from the comics. Mark Hamill shows up a couple of times as the villain Trickster. Those 2 episodes are considered the best by fans. Mark hams it up a la the 60s Batman show.

I think your daughter will love it. It's on the dated side with the late 80s haircuts and some low budget sets and FX on occasion.
