It was all staged. The members of Rascal Flatts really get along fine and are not contemplating breaking up for solo careers or anything like that.

The lead singer had a bruise because they had supposedly gotten into a big fight before the show.

Apparently the members of Rascal Flatts are *HUGE* fans of "CSI" and had asked to be on the show. So Jay was fine with being electrocuted.
