Kenamom, I can kinda/sorta relate to your feelings about the Mounties and Canada being depicted as a place where there's snow on the ground across the entire nation even in September.

Because virtually every time Texas is depicted on a TV show it looks like a ranch in the middle of nowhere, even if it's supposed to be downtown Houston! Certainly there *are* parts of Texas that are flat, treeless, relatively unpopulated and contain plenty of horses and cattle (just as I assume there are some places in Canada with snow on the ground in September), but we also have three of America's 10 largest cities and very diverse terrain throughout the state. I get irritated by the stereotypes!

Don't watch "Bones" so can't comment on that.
