The New Others apparently are connected to the ones already on the island. If one of them was the one that warned Miles not to work for Widmore, then they must be with Ben & Richard. Guess that flight to Guam was mostly full of them so we don't have to deal with more civilians.

Desmond was the one who turned the emergency key when the hatch was going to blow up at the end of S2. After doing that (being right next to the energy as it imploded), he was found in the jungle naked and could see people's futures & get unstuck in time. I wondered if Juliet would go thru something similar since she was right next to "the incident." But I saw that the actress is going to be on the remake of V this fall so perhaps she is done with Lost or will only appear occassionally.

The bomb was on the island in the 1950s, a US army H-bomb that I assume was being used for a test. The Others were instructed by Faraday to bury it so that the radiation leak wouldn't effect everyone on the island. Faraday then thought it could be put to good use in the 70s but was he right?

I doubt Jacob & "Esau" are supposed to be the same ones from the Bible. We'll have to see what their story is. Many fans are saying that Locke has been manipulated by Esau the whole time in a plot to kill Jacob (the loophole) and that Locke was never special to begin with. I don't buy that.
