I would assume Michael's story that we saw is true, not sure what he told Sayid. I still think Sayid is trying to play the captain, he must realize these guys are up to no good.

Rousseau wasn't set up. Those shots were from that death squad Michael was talking to on the boat. The helicopter made another run to the island after Desmond and Sayid got there. Alex saved herself by doing what Ben was afraid of, her being used as a hostage since she's his "daughter". The ads promised a death in this episode and Karl doesn't seem major enough so Rousseau bought it.

Well, the story the Oceanic 6 gave is that everyone died but 8 people at the moment of the crash. They can't have the plane explained away without making the world want to know how it was done and why. So everyone's death date would be the day of the crash. The bodies couldn't be recovered as they are too far down. I think Sun might be acting like Jin is dead for the sake of keeping the cover up. Just a theory.

No idea where Vincent is. They forget about him until they need him.

Not the first time the show has had bad or inconsistent writing. One wonders if put all together, it all makes any sense.

No new eps until late April!!!! And only 5 more for this season. In a way I'm glad of the strike, less time wasted on new shows.
