Subject: Prison Break 1st half wrap up

I thought the first half of the 2nd season of Prison Break was really quite good. I was worried about it going in just because it was going to be SO different than the first season. That being said, it did have things that super frustrated me. So here are my thoughts on what did and didn't work.

The Good

Getting Dominic Purcell off of death row. Turns out the guy can actually act, and I never really noticed in the first season, but he's pretty good looking too! I'm really enjoying the big brother/little brother dynamic between Lincoln and Michael.
Michael's guilt over what is going on. I know we're supposed to root for the brothers (and I do) but from the time in the first season when T-Bag killed the CO during the riot I began to question if all this was really worth it. Seeing him show remorse/question his actions has been good for me in reconciling what's going on.
Sucre is free! He was one of my favorite characters in the first season and he and Michael have fantastic chemistry. But the whole Maricruz storyline worked my nerves and everytime he went back to her I got more annoyed.
Kellerman switching sides at the very end. I'm sure he and the brothers won't get along too well once they find out about his role in the murder/torture of so many of their loved ones. But it's going to be fun and it was a great twist. I thought for sure the episode was going to end with the brothers standing between Mahone and Kellerman, and I thought, "lame!" but then Kellerman shot Mahone and I was pleased.

The Bad

T-Bag. He makes me sick. His character has run its course. All the killing and grossness and his ability to charm women despite the fact that he is DISGUSTING make me want to leave the room when he comes on my screen.
Bellick's incarceration. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That's all I have to say about that.
Creepy Non Speaking Man who showed up at the end. Where is the President and who is this guy? I hate when they just keep adding in more an more levels of bad guys. It gets too confusing.

Hopes for the spring season

Not much Sucre. I love him and I think he's H-O-T, but I don't want to see any storylines of him waiting for Maricruz at some airport or something. It's dull and he's a big sap when it comes to her.
Capture C-Note quickly but don't let him die! I sort of wanted him to make a run for his family to Canada, but now that his wife has been arrested I think he should just get caught. Or maybe turn himself in on the condition that his wife gets set free. But the bottomw line is the storyline has shifted to the conspiracy and it just takes away from the theme to be cutting away to minor characters every episode.
That being said, just show us Haywire once! I know he was never as big a character as the rest of them but he's a lunatic! I want to see what's going on with him. But don't waste too much time and get it done quickly.
Reunite Sara and Michael. She needs him! She's all alone with her butchered hair cut and she has the evidence to exonerate Lincoln. It won't do Michael any good, though. I long to see him and Sucre lounging on the beaches of South America.
Bring back LJ! I couldn't believe Lincoln just left him with that woman! Does he know how to get in touch with her? I love that kid.

That's all my thoughts. I can't wait for it to come back! And right in a row with 24. It's going to be pure adreneline night at my house.
