Well, there's only been one second season episode of CSI:NY so far. The woman Mac met up with in the last year's season finale wasn't in this year's season premiere. IMHO, referring to her as Mac's "girlfriend" is premature; they met and started talking at a coffee shop, she asked him to meet her for a drink a couple of days later and he agreed. I would hardly think going on on one date wtih a woman makes her a man's girlfriend.
I'm still rooting for Mac/Stella. They have a really good relationship; very mutually supportive. However, he is her boss so I guess there might be some conflict in that regard if they got romantically involved. And, since every couple I've ever shipped for always drags the UST out for a minimum of four years, I'm not really expecting any change in the Mac/Stella relationship anytime soon.
