Subject: Good news for my favorite shows!

My two favorite currently-running TV shows --- "NCIS" and "CSI:NY" -- were the second and third highest rated programs on TV last week. (This is based on the Nielsen ratings for Dec. 12-18). Only "CSI" beat them out.
Being the fan of shows that are actually widely watched by a large number of other people is kind of a new experience for me. I'm generally drawn to shows that either get cancelled after half a dozen eps or air for years with so-so ratings (such as JAG, which got fairly decent ratings for most of its run, but which was never a top ten show and got virtually no "buzz"). Even XF was, to be honest, more of a "cult hit" than a top ten show.
