Subject: SO many shows get cancelled too soon
In reply to: Islandgirl 's message, "Top Five shows cancelled too soon" on 07:33:51 01/31/06 Tue

And clearly mediocre shows like, "According to Jim" stay on for years! My top 5:

1) My So-Called Life. This show lasted only one season and is still one of my all time favorites. I guess when only 15 year old girls understand the main character, cancellation is inevitable.

2)Sports Night. This show lasted two seasons. It was only a half hour show, but it wasn't really a comedy. Every episode was pretty fantastic. They hit on a lot of emotional topics and the cast was just great together. The writing was fantastic but the show fell off after the creator, Aaron Sorkin, started up a little show called The West Wing.

3) Freaks and Geeks. I didn't watch this when it was on, but it's one of the best seasons of television ever, which I learned when I got the DVDs.

4) Joan of Arcadia. This probably isn't one of the most outrageous cancellations of all time, but I miss this show. It fell off a bit the second season, but came back strong towards the end with the introduction of man who works for (or maybe is?) the devil. I really would have liked to have seen where that went.

5) Seinfeld. I know, I know, it was on for nine seasons. But I miss it!
