I've thought about this too with Thomas Gibson. I watch Criminal Minds. It's a really good show. Kinda like a group of Mulders all profiling--just no alien interference. It's well written with good stories.

There have been other actors who have worked in different genres but I guess many tend to stay in their niche. One example I can think of is Leslie Neilsen. He started out playing very dramatic roles, then he did a bit of comedy on a MASH episode. I believe that was the first time. And then of course he became famous for playing the nutty guy in the Airplane and Police Academy things. So he went from serious dramas to totally goofy. :)

Gibson is good on Crimial Minds. And btw IG, his character, an FBI profiler, is married and has a baby. ;)
