Subject: UST on " Numb3rs"

Now that the first season of "NUMB3RS" is nearing an end, where would everybody like to see the UST (that's "unfulfilled sexual tension" for those who might not know) relationships established on the show this season go next season? Unlike a lot of shows, this one actually has more than one UST combination. We've got Don/Terry, Charlie/Amita and possibly even Alan/lady who sells him dead ducks.
Basically the choices are:
1.) Keep it conventional. Go with the accepted TV show protocol for these sorts of things, which means that the UST keeps going (and going, and going. . .). It either lasts until the show is cancelled or it's resolved in the last episode before one of the main characters leaves the show. This would fit in with most well-known TV UST couples of the past, such as Mulder/Scully from "The X-Files", Harm/Mac from "JAG", Logan/Max from "Dark Angel", etc. It's the tried-and-true (or is that trite-and-true?) formula for TV shows of this nature.
2. Dare to be different. Reject the "formula" for these sorts of shows and actually let the relationships between Don/Terry and Charlie/Amita progress in a way that at least vaguely resembles the way normal adults behave when they're attracted to somebody they work with or go to college with. Maybe a first kiss when they've had a little too much drink or are operating on an adrenalin surge in an episode early next season, followed a couple of months later by another kiss with no handy excuse. Then, near the end of next season, a marriage proposal and/or consummation of the relationship.
3.) Have their cake and eat it, too. Let one of the Eppes brothers get lucky (with his partner in UST, not some guest star brought into spice up the ratings) by the end of next season, while the other continues the UST into the third (and fourth, and fifth. . .) season of the show.
Being as I'm a diehard shipper, I'd prefer option number two. However, even option number three would be more creative and unusual than the way most TV shows handle this situation.
What does everybody else think? And if you choose option number three, which couple would you like to see move their relationship to a new level and which couple would you like to see continue the status quo?
