Subject: Two horses, three people
In reply to: ... 's message, "..." on 16:47:50 10/28/01 Sun

Two horses trot slowly through the forest. At a closer look, there is one person one of tthe horses, the other has a tall sturdy figure, and a with a thinner, more feminim figure sitting behind him. The two men both wear bandanas on their faces and their hats pulled down low. The girl's hands are tightly tied together with rope, so tight that her hands are rope bruned and there's even a little blood. Her left ankle is tied to the left stirrup, to prevent her from trying to escape. There are no tears in her dark green eyes, just anger. Her dark brown hair perhaps was once neatly tied up, but now it was loose and tangled. Her clothes are tattered and she's gagged by a rag. The first man reaches to his belt and pulls out a hunting knife, the girl watches the knfe though there is little fear in her eyes still. The man reaches down to the left stirrup and cut the rope tied to the girl's ankle. He tucks his knife back into his belt, inbetween his eight shooters. He jumped off his horse and grabbed the girl roughly by her shoulders, pulling her off the horse and gave her a small shove, knowing she wouldn't be able to catch her balance. The girl stumbled to the ground unable to break her fall with her hands because they were tied. She landed with as loud thud. The man pull the rags away from her mouth, and she pushed herself into a sitting position.

"You idiotic girl! I should shoot you right now for what you did back there!" He hollered at her.

She clenched her jaw and yelled back, "Yeah but you're too cowardly to do that ain't ya?! You can rob trains, burn houses and shoot boys and men, but ya cain't shoot a girl canya? Yer nothing but a coward!"

The other bandit got off his horse, "May we remind you the only reason you're alive now? We coulda shot you right after we were done with you and at a safe distance, but we didn't did we? You ungrateful brat!"

"The only reasons I'm alive now, is because you're both so durned cowardly and lazy! If it weren't for the fact that I can sew and cook, and you are so danged cowardly, you woulda ended my misery already!" She yelled back.

The first bandit lowered himself down to her leve, his hand on his gun, "Is that what you want? You want me to shoot you now!"

She spit in his face, "Anything would be better than ridin' with the likes of you, you dirt!"

He stumbled back at first, then struck her harshly across the jaw, "Your nothing but an idiotic blabberin' female! Messing with a guy with a loaded gun! Why the heck did you go around the last town spillin' everything on you, we kept you well fed and gave you a blanket on the cold nights!!"

She quickly recovered from the strike and glared at the first one, "Only so I could be your slave! Go ahead, shoot me now, cuz I ain't gonna be of any assistance to you any more! And I tell you, I'll have you turned in at the next person I see! With five hundred dollars on both yer heads, I'll be pretty durn rich, and free you river rats!"

The second bandit kicked her in the side and then pinned her to the ground with his foot, "You ain't gonna tell no one, is that clear!"

She struggled, and spit out some blood, "Clear as mud!" She said.

"We were going to ransom you, but when we sent out the demand, they sent a letter back saying they wouldn't give us a penny for you! Now I see why, heck I'd pay somebody a thousand dollars just to get you off my hands!" SAid the first bandit.

"That ain't true! My family loves me! You're just jealous at the fact that at least somebody loves me!!" She defended, though both of the bandits could tell that the comment hurt her.

He strucked her again, "Close your mouth girl!"

"I'll never do another thing you tell me to again!!" She shouted. He struck her again, over and over again, until she laid on the ground with only the energy to let out a whimper. The other bandit looked to the sun.

"Let's just get rid of her, she ain't worth it no more." The second bandit said. The first bandit nodded and pulled out his gun, but like she had said, he couldn't shoot a girl, so he turned the gun around and struck her temple with the butt of his gun. She immediate fell unconcious. The bandits turned and rode away, assuming she probably wouldn't make it from such a blow.

Hours later the girl stirred. Slowly standing up then wavering. Her head throbbed like nothing else, she looked around, her dirty face streaked with tears. She put her hand agains a tree, and closed her eyes in thought. But she knew nothing, her memory was wiped out, she couldn't remember who she was, she couldn't remember anything about herself, not even how to read or write. She stumbled through the forest, looking for help though having no clue what to look for...
