Rep #1: Coach Krom, you were inducted into the Hall of Fame this off season, and only a scant few weeks later you were named the Coach of the team you played with your whole career. What was that like?

Krom: It was a great honor, I am replacing a legend in Coach Sicher, but he decided to focus mainly on the GM duties such as front office matters and player personnel. When he called me, there was no way I could say no.

Rep #2: One of your first orders of business was being a part of the draft, and after moving up to the 4 slot, but when you were on the clock, you passed on Weinke and traded down to draft Jason Kanell.

Krom: Well, Weinke has solid numbers and will be a good player. The fact that he was available kind of threw us for loop. So we called up Nagpal and worked out a quick deal which brought us a very good young RB in Gary Kimura.

Rep #2: You moved down to draft the son of your very good friend Danny Kanell, which has been second guessed all season, what did you see in Kanell Jr that you didnt see in Weinke?

Krom: I've known Jase a long time, lets say the advanced scouting goes all the way back to Pee Wee football. As a High School All America, and a standout at the University of Miami, I've seen this kid play, and his composure is uncanny, he has a gun for an arm, and has a solid head on his shoulders. Last week we lost to a very tough New Mexico team in a game that went down to the wire. Jason was destroyed, he is that fierce a competitor, but on monday morning he was in the film room, studying tape. And you see what he did tonight, he was facing one of the consistently best teams in recent years, in one of the rowdiest places to play, against possibly the only guy can be considered in the same company as his dad, and actually outplayed the guy. 60% efficiency and over 250 yards. You gotta love that!

Rep #3: What is the status of Van Kay and Willie Stephens?

Krom: Van pulled a hammie running a post route in the second quarter. He may sit out a week, but that will be a game time decision. Stephens is probable after wrenching his knee. He had 2 sacks before going out, and we really arent deep on the line, so his presence will be a big plus come sunday.

Rep #4: During free agency, Edgar Breed chose DMF over Tijuana in a last minute signing, now today he gets hurt early in the 4th Quarter, coincidence?

Krom: Of course! Edgar is a great guy, and we wish him the best, nothing intentional there. Thats all the questions we have time for, gotta get ready for North Buncombe. GO DOGS!!!!
