She turns to Celestial Patience, who swears she isn't hungry, and makes a mental note to make her eat again very soon. She then clambers to her feet, stepping quickly towards this new filly, eyes troubled. "Oh my..." she inhales sharply when she nears, noticing the filly's poor condition. She lowers her head and gently nudges the filly, "It's alright, my dear..." Her muzzle trails down the filly's body, and her large tongue begins to massage at her coat, cleaning her as her mother ought to have... "We'll help you find your mother..." Or, she knew, there was a possibility that her mother couldn't be found, but she didn't voice this other option. Instead, she resumed to cleaning the filly, keeping an eye on the other 3 fillies, Soul, and Lightseeker... (NT) Halo 07:27:50 08/17/01 Fri *Copper steed canters over to the new arrival. He halts besides Halo, looking on as she began to groom the filly. He stepped forth to help, not quite sure how and if they were going to find her mother. Silently, he cursed, for he knew if the mare was alive and fit to be named a mother, she would not have let the filly get in such a state. Unless the youngster had wandred off...Quickly, he snapped himself out of his thoughts and began to help Halo.* (NT) -- Soul, 11:20:43 08/17/01 Fri The mare's attention snaps to the youngsters that are nearby. She softly whickers comfortingly to Mysterious Twilight and eyes meet Halo's. Her voice drops as she softly asks, "Is there anything that I could do?" (NT) -- +Lightseeker+, 11:59:17 08/17/01 Fri Eyes focused on Lightseeker, she pauses only a moment before speaking. "This filly needs a mother, a caretaker..." She leaves it at that, still looking at Lightseeker, hoping she might catch on. She already has 3 young fillies of her own- she would gladly care for a 4th, but it wouldn't be as easy... Her eyes remain steadily on Lightseeker, searching her eyes for her reaction... (NT) -- Halo, 12:35:59 08/17/01 Fri Mare understands Halo's thought and her voice drops a notch lower, "I can only do as much as I can for I have no milk, but I would gladly care for a foal...if she would allow it." The mare whickers once again to Twilight, soothing the filly. (NT) -- +Lightseeker+, 18:19:55 08/17/01 Fri *He smiles at Lightseeker. "Thank you. We'd gladly take on another foal, but this way she shall get more of the attention she needs. Halo can only feed so many foals before she starts to struggle." He nuzzles Lightseeker, then turns to Halo. "Where have the three little monsters gone to now?" He chuckles and looks around for them.* (NT) -- Soul, 05:01:40 08/18/01 Sat The mare flicks her ears back and forth, but stands near Twilight, nuzzling her softly and licking the rest of the filly's coat clean. Her shivering subsides a bit and she looks at the horses.* "Mama?!" (NT) -- Twi, 11:14:14 08/19/01 Sun Lightseeker's eyes are filled with an unique shine of happiness as she protectively stands near Twilight. She whickers softly to the filly, "I am your mama..." quietly the mare mentally adds to herself, 'for now'. She shakes her head and continues licking the foal's coat. (NT) -- +Lightseeker+, 19:23:07 08/19/01 Sun *Skinny filly sighs softly and lovingly noses the mare's leg. She then noses around the mare's underbelly searching for the teats. When her seach comes up empty she sighs softy. The mare swings her head towards Halo, gesturing, "She has milk for you..." "I'm sorry, I don't....but I will always be your mama. Just let Halo feed you and you'll become big and strong...Please Twi..."
