Applications for the 2003 Greater Miss Carolina Sweetheart Pageant will be
available beginning October 1, 2002. The pageant is scheduled for January
25, 2003 at Bladenboro High School. Applications are available early so
that those contestants who wish to run for the Majestic title (the one who
raises the most money for our cause) will have ample time to seek donations,
sell ads, etc. However, raising money is not required and has no bearing on
the age division winners. All proceeds from our pageant go to the American
Cancer Society's Relay For Life. The new queens will have an official team
in the Bladen County Relay For Life, participate in parades, pool parties,
and many other fun and exciting events. The pageant is open to babies thru
married ladies. Although this is an open title pageant (NC residents only),
each queen is required to participate in the Relay and to make at least 10
appearances of her choice. Entry fee is $60. No contestant will go home
empty handed!!!! Winners will receive a beautiful rhinestone crown, trophy,
flowers, crown pin, pageant magazines, publicity in local newspapers and
pageant magazines (Our queens have been seen is Patsy's Pageant Magazine,
Pageantry Magazine, and others). There will also be a few "surprise" awards
and prizes. Although we are a local pageant (not affilliated with any other
pageant) we still do our best to insure that our queens have the BEST year!
