Latigo god post on St. Peters Voy site. That's how I read it, with Blue Ribbon (not Pabst) in mind. I was surprised myself. Has anyone here actually seen the Blue Ribbon MAAC ranking for the 2023-2024 season?

In response to Blue Ribbon picking SP 11th, Latigo wrote, "Agree with Spc91. I do think that SP finishes above FF, MSM and Canisius." How do you read that as saying FF, MSM, and Canisius are top 3? He's saying they are bottom 3 with SP being 8th.

Actually he agrees with SP 91 just ahead of him and who refers to, "last season we out performed expectations". That is, they could do it again and finish first in 2023-2024. Remember their stunning run last season?

By the way, the heading of this string is," Re: blue ribbon picks griffs third".

Yes they exceeded expectations last year of being picked to finish 10th and advancing to the MAAC semi-finals. Not sure I would call that "stunning". Are you referring to the NCAA run two years ago? The Blue Ribbon predictions are below. Fairfield and MSM are not one and two. Latigo is obviously saying that in his opinion, SPU can finish ahead of FF, MSM, and Canisius and not finish 11th as predicted.

Rider
Iona
Canisius
Quinny
FF
Siena
Marist
MSM
Niagara
Manhattan
SPU

Blue Ribbon has these 5 teams getting a first round bye in this season’s MAAC tournament with the following seeding: 1.Iona 2.Rider 3.Canisius 4.QU 5.FF.

Nexus another publication has us at 9.

Let’s see what these Griffs can do this year.

But remember that the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook is A/K/A "The BIBLE of College Basketball".
