Re: OOC -- Scheduling is Very Tough, Thu, June 22 2023, 3:10:58
I’m sure they have, but what’s in it for Fordham or St. Joe’s? The A10 makes follows a stricter scheduling model than the MAAC. If it weren’t for the long history, Bona probably wouldn’t be playing Canisius or Niagara on a straight up home-and-home series, either. It wouldn’t be a Bona thing, but an A10 thing. There just isn’t value in playing true road games unless they’re against top 50-75 programs. It stinks.
I’m curious as to where schools like Holy Cross, Colgate, Cornell, Detroit Mercy, Bucknell, and St. Francis PA are on the OOC. A good chunk of those schools should be recurring regional series. Le Moyne, too, should be a nice OOC option moving forward.
