Sorry Mr. Internet tough guy, but Siena has every right to be proud that a kid it signed and who starred for them was drafted. Is it supposed to just ignore the three years he spent there?

Pickett was another Rochester kid overlooked by our coaches despite a great career at Aquino’s. Only got our attention when Siena offered him in prep school. With Pickett in the NBA, there will be 4 Former Rochester players in the league.

He visited us but we didn’t close the deal. We seem to struggle when it comes to landing kids like this. Disappointing for sure. Go Griffs!

Probably a good thing he didn't. Had he been FOY, then POY and gotten selected in the NBA draft, some here wouldn't want us to think we had anything to do with his development.

Yeah, just like we'd overlook it if a kid from Canisius earned MAAC POY honors, MAAC Freshman of the Year and all-MAAC honors all three years he was there.

If our SID didn't mention something about the role Canisius played in the career of the first player drafted from our school in decades, they'd deserve to be fired immediately.
