Well, every team needs healthy bodies for practice. The scholarship players do get injured and also may just need a rest day from time to time. Some walk-ons occasionally become valuable players at the D1 level and are awarded with a scholarship.

Happy to have more local walk on's, many big d1 schools have large rosters for the reasons mentioned, they are often the most dedicated players on a team knowing they are not likely to ever play any significant minutes, sounds like a tough kid and good player so happy to have him for whatever reason.

Hang on. MaxPreps is a bit confusing. Is he at Williamsville South or St. Joes? Is he Griffing it in 2023 or 2024? Am I reading it correctly?
