What does make sense to me is:

* Keeping our basketball arena on campus, demolishing the KAC and building its replacement on an expanded footprint. People smarter than me can figure out if it needs to be a combination hockey/BB arena, like Biston College's but smaller.

* Finding a new home for baseball and softball, close to campus. There looks to be ample land for a baseball field at the corner of Fillmore and Kensington avenues, the current site of Indigo Industries. A Softball field would easily fit in the huge vacant lot across Kensington Avenue, west of Pauline.

* The lacrosse/soccer field could then be re-oriented in a north-south direction, giving ample room for KAC expansion.

This would require a significant, dedicated gift from one or more entities, and a commitment from the administration to upgrade athletics. But without a plan, it's hard to fundraise.

This makes sense. There is no need to build a rink. We have a sweet deal at the Harbor Center. The environment we had fore Holy Cross was amazing! There is a plan to invest in the KAC. Some of us have seen the blueprints. A huge mistake was made selling the houses on Florida Street. Our past president took the cash vs. thinking about the footprint of the school. The field at Demske floods. We need more outdoor practice space. Behind Lyons Hall & the open space which had the parking ramp. If the powers to be are smart you don’t use that space for parking. I can hear the whiners now about parking. Sorry, use the light rail or take a bus. Better yet live on campus and contribute to the energy on campus. More details are coming about athletics.
