MAC and MAAC schools recruit from a different pool of candidates, and the schools have a different set of requisites.

UB probably wants an established, low-major head coach. I expect we'll be hiring someone who right now is an assistant.

Actually the names that had and have been floated for UB are primarily assistants - Adam Cohen, Bryan Hodgson, Saddi Washington. Ben McCollum of Northwest Missouri (D2) is the only head guy I've seen mentioned and he apparently said he's not interested.

The problem with going after Power 5 type assistants is they are already making more than many low and mid-major head guys. Hodgson for instance was making 425k at Alabama. Has a base salary now of 385k at Arkansas state with incentives that could get him up to or beyond what he was making at Alabama.
