This isn't like buying a house. There are issues with Medaille's debt, their athletic facilities (which are a nightmare), their students, etc. The University (feels weird to write that) is working on plans.

Woops, just checked the E edition of the Buffalo Snooze. It reports Medaille is closing August 31st.

Oh, for sure. I don't even want anything to do with their athletic facilities. They're built on a brownfield, and are located nowhere remotely close to their campus. But, if the whole school winds up going belly up and there's some kind of fire sale auction for everything, Canisius should definitely be looking to acquire the buildings that border our campus in back of Lyons Hall, for sure.

I attended a couple of softball games in the MAAC tournament. I really think the College should do something to improve the softball area of the Demske. I think the present site could be improved by taking away about 10 ft. of the parking lot, and adding some bleachers along the first baseline. I don't believe there is room for a new facility across the st. where the ramp was located. It looks like there will be plenty of green space however. Go Griffs!!!

Demske is going to have some work done. It’s the land we want. Yes a couple of buildings could best serve us as well as the parking spots. Canisius needs to do their homework. Opportunities like this only come along once every 100 years. Go Griffs!
