This is the downside of the whole NIL process. Cam Palesse seemed like a good person and teammate, and was getting good minutes contributing as a Griff. His 2+ years on campus are what could lead to a degree, which I hope he has or will obtain. But as a broader matter the NCAA's allowance for repeated easy transfers without an off year devoted to academic studies makes a joke of the very purpose of a college experience. And the ultimate losers will wind up being the student athletes themselves, most of whom will never have a career in the NFL or NBA.

The hypocrisy of the situation is that for the
most part a situation has been created that institutions of higher learning are fronting as semi professional or professional athletic leagues for these students for whatever value it brings to the respective schools which clearly varies dramatically for the have's and have nots and where the academic mission of each school is basically thrown out the window . Change has to come somehow, maybe it will have to be from the bottom up of ncaa institutions as the bigs clearly have a different agenda.
